Two-tone Woven Basket Tote
Cognac and aubergine — hand-woven
Two colours of leather, woven in a single pass.
The zigzag weave of this basket tote is worked from strips in two colours, alternated as the weave progresses. The pattern is not printed or embossed but built into the construction, which means it cannot wear off.
The top edge and handles are finished in aubergine, giving the basket a firm frame. Seen from the front the bag shows its full width; from the side it tapers markedly — the shape holds more than its narrow profile suggests.
